Who are we?

The James Ahern Foundation is a charitable trust (registered number EW33802), founded in memory of James.

His life was cut short in a road accident, but it became clear that he had had a massive impact on everyone around him, through his infectious love of life, compassion for others, and trying his best at everything.

His parents Maria and Terry decided to build on this by creating the Foundation, whose aims are to help young people at some kind of disadvantage, to achieve their goals: enabling the pursuit of passion

More information is on the About page.

Can you help us?

Grants: we award small grants to young people, to help them pursue their passion in life. More info on the projects page

Fundraising: nothing happens without money! We have supporters running marathons, cycling events, and even a concert. Check out the get involved page.

Awareness: we also use Facebook and social media to help other causes which meet our aims, or simply make people aware. We have helped rough sleepers, victims of road accidents, and others in need. Follow us on Facebook or Twitter.

Support us: subscribe on the get involved page (it takes 30 seconds!) and you will get a newsletter and updates on events:

Donate: make a one off or regular donation on the donate page, and don't forget your Gift Aid!

Raise money: if you are taking part in an event, think about adding the Foundation as a supported charity using the Virgin Money Giving website.

300 Spartans: in honour of James' Greek heritage, we have our own club! Become a Spartan, have your name in lights on the website as a supporter, and get discounts on Foundation events and VIP invites.
